- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 3 cups apples, peeled and sliced

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
