  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin liners, filling each about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  • For extra chocolatey muffins, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top before baking.
