California Roll Sushi Bowls

Enjoy a delightful and healthy twist on the classic California roll with these easy sushi bowls.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 cup imitation crab meat, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon wasabi (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions.
  2. Once cooked, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl and microwave until dissolved. Stir into the rice.
  3. In a bowl, layer the seasoned rice, followed by the avocado, cucumber, carrot, and imitation crab meat.
  4. Drizzle with soy sauce and add wasabi if using.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
