  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., Gruyere or Swiss)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, crumbled turkey bacon, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined, then form into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. In the last few minutes of baking, top each meatball with caramelized onions and shredded cheese, then return to the oven until the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
