  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine the cooked rigatoni with the sauce, stirring to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
