Creamy Southern Spaghetti Bake

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic; cook until the meat is fully browned.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Combine the cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce and mix well.
  7. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti mixture, followed by the cheese mixture, then the remaining spaghetti.
  8. Top with additional mozzarella if desired.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
