Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyère)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the potatoes thinly, making sure not to cut all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the cream mixture over the sliced potatoes in a baking dish.
  5. Add shredded cheese on top.
  6. Dot with butter.
  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes until potatoes are tender and crispy.
