  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Slice the brioche bread into thick slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, and salt.
  3. Soak the bread slices in the egg mixture for about 2 minutes on each side.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a little butter.
  5. Cook the soaked bread slices until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the cooked slices and use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of toppings.
