- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
