  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just blended. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Fill each muffin cup about 3/4 full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For extra chocolatey goodness, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top before baking.
  • These muffins are perfect served warm with butter.
