Easy Cinnamon Sugar Swirl Muffins

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon for the swirl

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  6. Spoon half of the muffin batter into the prepared muffin tin, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture, then layer the remaining batter on top.
  7. Using a toothpick, swirl the batter lightly to create a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
