Honey Garlic Chicken

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  2. Place chicken thighs in a slow cooker and pour the honey garlic mixture over them.
  3. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours, until chicken is cooked through.
  4. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and return it to the slow cooker, mixing it with the sauce.
  5. Serve garnished with chopped green onions.
