Irresistible Valentine’s Day Cheesecake Brownies in 35 Minutes

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for cream cheese layer

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and stir.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract for the cream cheese layer and mix well.
  8. Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan, then add the cream cheese mixture on top.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer and swirl gently with a knife.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before slicing and serving.
