One-Pot Garlic Butter Sausage and Orzo

A comforting and easy one-pot meal featuring garlic butter, sausage, and orzo.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces orzo pasta
  • 1 pound garlic sausage
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the orzo and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat and simmer until the orzo is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
