  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked linguine to the sauce and toss to coat.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and chopped basil, and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve immediately with additional basil and cheese if desired.

Notes

  • This dish is best served fresh but can be reheated in a pan over low heat.
