  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak into thin strips against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the steak strips and marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  4. Add the marinated steak and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned.
  5. Remove the steak and set aside. In the same pan, add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the steak to the pan, add black pepper and beef broth, and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil and serve immediately.
