- 1 pound flank steak
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Slice the flank steak into thin strips against the grain.
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the steak strips and marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the marinated steak and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Remove the steak and set aside. In the same pan, add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the steak to the pan, add black pepper and beef broth, and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
