  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil, then sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the green beans and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the beans are tender.
  6. Stir in the chopped turkey bacon before serving.

Notes

  • Adding a sprinkle of crushed red pepper can give this dish an extra kick.
  • This recipe can be adjusted by adding different vegetables.
