- 2 cups sushi rice
- 3 cups water
- 1 pound salmon fillet
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 4 sheets nori
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a pot, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- While the rice is cooking, prepare the salmon. In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Flake the salmon into the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Once the rice is cooked, spread it evenly in a greased baking dish. Layer the flaked salmon mixture on top of the rice.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until heated through.
- Remove from the oven and top with sliced avocado, green onions, and sesame seeds.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, serve with extra sriracha on the side.
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
